What Atlanta Meant to Me
Tim Atkinson, Executive Director
Welcome to our Conference edition of Imago World. We’re going to show you the conference through the eyes of those who filled in evaluations. If you weren’t there, I hope this captures the excitement for you. If you were there, we hope you enjoy revisiting it again through the words of your Imago colleagues. We are also happy to announce that the link to order tapes from the conference is now up on the website. Click here to order your 2005 conference tapes.

Here’s just a sample, which certainly warms our heart “You win the ‘Triple A’ award for ‘Excellence in Conferences’…How will they top this!” Well come to Albuquerque and find out….
Ronan Grimshaw traveled from Ireland for the conference and sent us this note. “the whole Conference was wonderful for me. I made so many 'connections'. My overall experience was that, as a new 'international arrival' into the Imago Family, I was overwhelmed with the warmth of my acceptance and with the genuine love I felt, and the deeply genuine 'you belong here' message.”
Being with 270 Imagoans in Atlanta for a few days was a truly life-changing experience for me. Even though I had been leading the organization for a year, there were so many of you I hadn’t met. What astonished me the most was the warm and embracing energy that I could feel as soon as Imago people came together!
That spirit infused the conference, from the beautiful honoring of Pat Love, the poignant and memorable dialogue at the closing ceremony, the excitement at plenary clinical sessions from Helen Hunt, Harville Hendrix, and the Imago Faculty, and the exuberance of the dancing and celebrations. It helped me understand the practice of Imago as a vital force, which is alive in our community. The conference was a very special way to experience that.
You may have heard of my “time machine” by now. Well climb aboard and we will take a little journey together back to October 2005, where 270 Imagoans gathered, had a great time, and learned to deepen their Imago work.
This year, we hope to be with you again in the 300 year old town of Albuquerque!
