About "Recovering our Connection" the Getting The Love You Want program for recovering couples
The "Recovering our Connection program is developed for the use of Certified Imago Workhop Presenters to enable them to lead weekend workshops for couples.
It is closely based on the existing "Getting The Love You Want" workshop, but adapted to suit the language used by couples in recovery. Some additional exercises specifically address the needs of recovering couples.

Training requirements to present the program:
The training requirements depend on your prior experience treating addictions:
If you already have extensive qualifications and experience in addictions, then you need only take a 5-session teleclass. However if you have little experience of addictions, you will be required to take a more extensive face-to-face program which teaches addictions.
Course A. Workshop Presenters with existing experience in treating addictions
5 part telecourse with an additional 3 follow-up sessions
The training to present the "Recovering our Connection" program will be delivered as a 5 part teleclass, with each weeklysession being 90 minutes long.
There will also be 3 follow-up calls available arranged monthly, to work with you on your experience presenting the program.
Pre-requisites to attend the 5-session (+3 follow-up) teleclass training
1. You will need to be a Certified Workshop Presenter with 2-years experience
- 2. You must be a certified credentialed Addictions Counsellor, or have 4 years of verifiable Addictions experience working in Addictions related work, or equivalent (This last will require a phone interview with the course presenters)
Course B. Workshop presenters without prior experience or training in treating addictions
5-day in-person training
These training courses will be rolled-out later during 2012, and will be a 5-day face-to-face training covering many details relevant to working with addicts and c0-addicts.
You will need to be a Certified Workshop Presenter with 2-years experience

Initial training: 5 weekly teleclasses: January 10, 17, 24, 31, Feb 07 2012
Follow-up calls: 3 monthly calls: There will be three monthly follow up teleclasses after several presenters have presented the workshop. This will be determined when we know the individual workshop dates.
The cost of the training is $480, to be paid at time of registration.
Marketing the "Recovering our Connection" program
The training to deliver the program is no use at all, unless you can be successful in running classes which attract a good attendance from couples
Therefore we will include in the training course a session on how to market the program. This will cover material included in the attached marketing guide.
