Southern California Imago Therapists
The Southern California Imago Therapists (SCIT), formerly known as SCARIT until its name change last year, is the oldest group and still maintains its original bylaws. We have an elected administrative board with a president, president-elect, secretary, and treasurer. At present, we have an active membership of 34 out of 52 Certified Imago Therapists.
Of the 52, we have our own “Master Trainer,” Bruce Crapuchettes, and his is partnered with Francine Beauvoir. In 1990, this energetic duo founded and continued to maintain the Pasadena Institute for Relationships, which provides couples workshops, support groups, clinical trainings, and ongoing updated Imago education. Out of our diverse group, we also have 11 active workshop presenters.
Although our region is filled with many temptations, from running naked on one our many beaches to bundling up to slip down one of our snowy mountains or just trying to avoid sitting on a desert cactus, we still take time to meet every two months. Our meetings provide peer support and education, along with a sense of community—not to forget our fabulous food and desserts, which can make any heated discussion turn into California “jello.” We are a light-hearted, heavy-weight, diversified group of swashbuckling Imago therapists. We are proud to say that our region is defined only by one’s desire to join and become an active member and not by geographic boundaries. We hope to see you at one of our meetings, and if not, then naked on our beaches.
